"A Time for Every Purpose Under Heaven" Part II

Every time in history and every civilization has had things that charaterized that people or time. Example: The Roman Empire or The Crusades or The Civil War or the Hippie Movement. Perhaps some odd choices, but I think you get my drift. Much of history has been frought with violence, and much change has been brought about due to violence that begat the change. In this day and age, I for one am tired of violence and most of the people I know or hear speak are too. The drive bys, the suicides, the home invasions, the senseless acts against strangers. The cry has gone out from family and friends and now society, WHY? Let us start something new, something real, something born of LOVE, of kindness to our fellow human. Let us bring about a new civilization that is known for that. Let us raise our children to emulate these behaviors not follow gangs and thugs and fools. Now is the time!

"A Time For Every Purpose Under Heaven" Part I

Sadly, we have only remembered lately the part of that verse that said a time to hate not the part that said there is a time to love! That never meant we were to love only people we knew, or liked or agreed with and hate everyone else. Help us God to love as You do! You don't look at a person's skin, or position in life, or education, or home or car or gender or religion or sexual orientation. You knew us so long before all of that stuff, while we were still in our mother's womb, You chose to love us then and still do. Thank you for showing us that all that stuff didn't matter, because even while You walked here, You hung out with the sinners (those that the religious said were evil, yet they killed You). Nothing can stop PERFECT LOVE, even death, that's why You are alive forever to prove that point. Today, I choose to love God with my whole heart and to love my neighbor. It is a time to LOVE!
