There is something to be said for silence. To quiet your mind, to refocus, to breathe, to let go of old perceptions, once held as truth. Truth doesn't change, but our view of what we held as truth can, and should. As children, we don't have full knowledge or ability to grasp certain concepts, so we are quick to believe what we see and hear as truth. As we mature, we find that many truths are veiled, or there are layers to something, that must be uncovered, to reveal the full scope of the truth on that matter.

My spiritual journey has been one of those layered things, that I am still digging into, peeling back the things I once held as truth, and finding so much more than my family, culture, and tradition taught me. To say it's been a challenging journey thus far, doesn't touch the depth of conflict, and emotion, but I'm here.

I want to remove all the layers, and find my true self, and the truths I need to live by as they are unfolding. Truth and beauty are everywhere if you look for them, and you quiet yourself to see and hear.

Safe travels, fellow seekers!

There are many things that may happen during our lifetime that may impact us personally. We have a choice to park beside pain and loss, or to move on. Some things may be a direct result of our choices, but many times as a result of other's decisions. It can be nearly catastrophic when people who matter to us, don't consider us in their decisions, but it happens, often more than we realize.
When things are evident, and out of your hands, by either choice or circumstance; realize it is part of life, and you can get through it. As a wise person once said, "the sun will continue to rise."
All that comes is life, not necessarily good or bad, just life. It can be a mixed bag, but the good and bad of it is really how we perceive it, and how we respond. Grow, change, embrace good, or sit, sulk, stagnate, it's really up to you.
